This is actually an instance for five team members and is rather short. With a decent group, it can be completed in less than an hour and with a great group in less than 30 minutes. The key to Stratholme though is that you can find numerous disenchanted items here that often turn around for fairly decent gold. This is a great instance and highly effective gold farming location.

Stranglethorn Vale

In the midst of this region you'll find Crystalvein Mine. This is where you want to go. You'll need to head east from Gurubashi Arena to reach the mine, but once you're there, you'll find a great deal of a particularly fruitful Ironjaw Basilisks. They drop all sorts of random trash items that you can sell for decent amounts of gold to vendors. Not only that, but their corpses are great for picking up thick and heavy leather.

Eastern Plaguelands

Head to the Eastern Plaguelands and to the southwest corner of the region. Here you'll find the Undercroft and Mossflayer Zombies. The Mossflayer Zombies are fairly easy to kill, but more importantly they return quickly and drop all sorts of silver and Runecloth. With quick respawn and decent drops this is a great place to farm if you can get it to yourself. Another great mob in the Plaguelands is the Plaguebat. This creature drops lots of Vendor trash of its own which sells fairly well.

Westfall

On the far western shore of Westfall you'll find a Defias Trappers outpost. Anyone can farm here, high or low level as these trappers drop linen cloth more than 1 in 3. Low level players can build money and cloth to resell while higher level players can simply gather linen cloth. It's a great farming locale.

Tailoring is a vital profession for the making of cloth armor in World of Warcraft. It allows mages, warlocks, and priests to craft their own armor or for other players to sell their wares to those classes. You don't need to stack another profession to gather supplies for tailoring. Instead, you can simply gather your items from dead enemies. Not only does tailoring allow you to make new cloth armor, it opens up dozens of opportunities to raise your resistances, craft new bags, and put together fun novelty items.

First off, you need to find a tailor to train you. They can be found in any of the major cities and are easily found if you ask a guard at any point in the city. To start, you'll want to simply kill lots of humanoid enemies that wear clothing. Build up a nice stockpile of cloth and armor from these kills. At first, you'll get plenty of linen cloth, but later on you might start seeing wool, silk, mageweave, runecloth, and eventually specialty clothing.

Until you reach level 50 in the craft, simply create bolts of linen cloth. You'll need these to create other items as well, but you'll need a large number of them, so you might as well keep crafting them until you reach level 50.

When you are level 50 in tailoring, become a journeyman. You must be level 10 before you can do so. Until you start finding enough wool and can create bolts of wool cloth, begin making items from bolts of linen cloth. Utilize both until you are level 105 and then use bolts of woolen cloth to reach level 125. At level 125, you can become a master tailor.

It will take a while from here before you can become an Artisan tailor, so start taking up silk and mageweave, slowly building your way up. You will need to be level 225 before you can visit Theramore Isle and level up to an Artisan, so just keep at it for now. At this point, making items is the key and will take you a lot of time. When you finally reach level 300 (it will be a while) you can finally level up to begin working with specific styles of tailoring in spellfire, shadowweave, or primal mooncloth tailoring.

The best part about the tailoring profession is that all the while you're training to get to higher levels, you can make decent amount of money from selling bags to auction houses. You're leveling up anyways, so why not build up your collection and sell 12-slot bags to the auction houses. Another good way to make a few gold at the auction house is to make rarely seen or used novelty shirts or wedding dresses. These sell rather well in auction houses as well.

Nintendo Wii Mod Chip Update - New Wii Modchips Means More Selection And Lower Prices

Some months ago I wrote the first article about the release of 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips. Being a homebrew fan myself, it was hard to hide my enthusiasm when it came to these Wii mod chips simply because I have been a fan of homebrew games - and more importantly import games, since the days of the good old Nintendo Entertainment system. While it took only a little bit of cutting with an exacto knife back then to play the latest Japanese games on my North American Nintendo Entertainment system, I've pretty much done whatever I needed to do to be able to play those games. Including installing a mod chip in virtually every game system that needed one since then.

I am not into pirating games at all (having unauthorized copies of games that I don't own) as it takes away from the developers that invest time, money, and a whole slew of blood, sweat and tears into making these amazing games. I say this only because the modchips I am about to talk about also allow you to play copies or backups of your Nintendo Wii games - but I am not at all talking about them for this reason, nor will I be able to respond to any questions about this - simply because I wouldn't know what to tell my readers anyway.

In my last Wii Mod Chip Article, I covered three different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips. These included the first ever Wii chip to be released, the Wiinja chip, as well as the Wiikey and the Cyclowiz modchips for the Wii. I won't go into the details and features of these three Wii chips, as my previous Nintendo Wii ModChips Article covered all of their features and functions. I'll instead focus on the newer chips that have just been released.

Before I continue with the rest of the article, I think that it is important for me to say that first and foremost, these are my opinions, and my opinions only. While I prefer to use, or have a chip that I find to be the best all around chip, both for features, functions and price, it does not, by any means mean that you should go with my own personal favorites. I state that I like one chip over another because I am lucky enough to be able to test each new chip as it is released. I'm able to compare the features, the functions, the ease of installation, but it is again, only my opinion. Opinions vary from person to person.

I'll start with my new personal favorite, the WiiC wii mod chip. The features of the WiiC wii mod chip, also called the Wi-IC are very similar to those of the other Nintendo Wii Mod chips on the market today. But what makes the WiiC stand out is the fact that rather than just updating setup settings via a DVD update disc, you are actually able to update and upgrade the built in bios on the WiiC itself. While this may seem trivial, it is a HUGE leap forward as far as support for any type of mod chip. Just imagine new games coming out that don't work with a specific mod. Other mod chips will allow you to settings only. Which means you can set your Wii to think it's a Japanese Wii instead of a Nintendo Wii purchased here in the USA. With the WiiC wii mod chip, you'll actually be able to re-program the chip itself, so that should a game NOT be compatible, you'll be able to update the chip to make even that NEW game compatible.

Keeping the theme of updates. You can easily update a mod chip, even just settings, and end up with a dead chip. The WiiC actually has a built in failsafe for this. A built in sort of DEFAULT option, that will reset the chip and put it back to the state it was in prior to the update. Making it appear as if no update was ever done to the chip, so that you could start again from scratch. And if you're worried about whether or not an installation you did works, it also has built in multi function LED's which will give you an install diagnostic and status, to ensure that your installation worked perfectly, as it should have. And if not, you can check all of your installation / wiring before spending all of the time to put your Nintendo Wii back together again. There are currently no other chips on the market that have all of these features. Of course, it'll play all of your import and backup games, as well as Gamecube import and homebrew games, etc... Not bad for a chip that costs less than $30.00

The second, and last mod chip in this article will cover another new chip to the Nintendo Wii Mod chip market. WiiD wii drive chip, from Team WiiD. Most online stores call this chip a wii mod chip for advanced users. I can only assume that this statement is made because of all of the advanced features that are touted by the manufacturers to be coming soon. Being first to market has tremendous advantages, especially in the video game related products category. Be the product a controller, or, as in this case, a modchip. But being first to market also means that you could potentially release something a big too early, and have it not work with every type of machine that is on the market, or yet to come. While the WiiD manufacturers had the technology ready to produce their mod chip, they decided to wait and release it after thoroughly testing it with every single type of Wii console on the market.

The WiiD is a fully featured Nintendo Wii mod chip. Allowing you to quickly and easily play all of your import and backup Gamecube and Nintendo Wii Games, as well as Gamecube Homebrew games right out of the box. It's extremely easy to install, easy to upgrade, compatible with every single Wii console system on the market today. What makes this mod chip really stand out is the ability to either use the quick solder pads found on the chip, like many Wii Mod chips. But you can also use wires just as easily as using the quick solder pads, thanks to the pre set solder points right on the WiiD chip, making wired install just as easy, without having to solder to the quick solder pads.

Do Video Games Lead to Violence or Not?

Like the debate that has been raging for years on whether violence in movies and T.V. causes violent behavior in people, especially our youth seems to have spilled over onto the video game industry. And like the difference in opinions being debated over violence in the movie and T.V. industry, the argument over violence in video games has split into two camps. One camp say's that violent video games definitely is a catalyst in causing more violent behavior in people; especially kids. While the other camp say's there is no correlation between watching violent video games and violent behavior.

Remarkably, both sides agree that some video games have educational value while others are very helpful with aiding the sick, especially in physical therapy. While they do acknowledge the benefits to humanity, the naysayer's are quick to point out that the best selling video games have always been and will always be the games that promise sex and violence. Although there is a rating system for video games similar to the movie and T.V. industry, studies have shown that ratings that exclude children tend to draw them to those forbidden games like moths to a flame.

Studies done in 2001 show that of the 70 top selling video games that were reviewed, 49 percent of them contained serious violence. While opponents of video games are quick to point out that the two teenagers that committed mass-murder at Columbine High School were avid players of the violent video game Doom. The proponents of video games can point out any number of teenagers that play violent video games who are outstanding students and citizens. There was a study done of 75 people who played a violent video game on an average of about 60 hours in a month's time. The conclusion showed that there was absolutely zero escalation of violent behavior in the 75 participants during that time.

In conclusion, this writer finds that the "war" between the proponents and opponents of violent video games will rage on for years to come. Studies will continue to be done by both sides in an attempt to discredit each others conclusions and in the end, all they will succeed in doing is confuse the public. I believe that if a person is going to commit a violent act, then that person already had the propensity to commit violence all along. Where violent video games are sometimes blamed as being the catalyst for violent acts being committed, who is to really say it was not something else. Charles Manson blamed it on the Beatles song "Helter Skelter", while the "Son of Sam," David Berkowitz blamed it on a black Lab named "Sam."
In the end, as long as children develop moral values and are given guidance and love by their parents or parent, then all of the violent video games in the world would not have a negative affect on them. GAME ON!

Johnnie stopped shredding that pretzel he’d been turning into saw dust and looked at us. Really focused on us, and just shook his head a bit.

“Look,” he said, “it wasn’t like that. None of the whoopin’ and hollerin’ you’ve got in your heads. It was . . Well, different.”

“It was like when a married half went somewhere else for, anywhere from three to six months, usually, the other half would be looking, you know. Nothing acrimonious about the other half’s supposed behavior, or anything. And usually it was never mentioned, and usually the “it” happened with someone from the organization, like keep it in the family sort of thing. It wasn’t unusual, and never mentioned by most anyone - unless things with the temporary hook-up got out of hand and then mutual friends would intervene.”

“So, the husband came home and I faded.”

“Only she wouldn’t let it be. I never had a phone, but I was getting called to the office to answer one quite a bit, and one of their friends would come around from time to time with a note or message about something or other. In short, things were getting out of hand. So, friends did intervene. Especially when he was sent away again for another three months job.”

“Well, I was young, and I was stupid. I let it happen again - at least; start to happen.”

“This time mutual friends were a bit put out and involved the husband.”

“Some time after he came back, it was arranged that they and some friends would be going to a local place for a day trip. I was specifically invited.”

We were pretty well watching Johnnie now, that State Game forgotten. Johnnie looked up and grinned, just shook his head and said:

“You people. You think too direct sometimes. Sure, the implications were there, but that wasn’t the thrust of it. The thrust of it was her actions.”

“She’d worked herself into a corner, you see. Been placed there. She had to make a choice. Her husband or something other. Now, down through all of this neither of us made proclamations or declarations of undying steadfastness of any sort and no “If’ it was possible” type of suggestions. Thought I’d throw that in there for you, so you’d understand we weren’t actively plotting and scheming to undo her marriage or anything. Probably amounted to the same thing regardless, looking at it. Anyway, she had a choice to make and if she choose wrong, I’d have to make a choice.”

“Well, she made a choice and I was told my services wouldn’t be required. That was all well and fine in many ways. It was the getting to it that was painful. She spent an inordinate amount of time walking and talking with me that day. Rubbing and bumping as we walked and talked for six hours, in between the times her husband imposed himself between us. I never asked for the choice and she never hinted in which direction she was leaning, until she told me. Now that was painful. Not the way she chose, the amount of time it took for her to get there.”

“So we left that day trip place and returned to our separate ways. The mutual friends were happy, I was relieved and I’m not all sure what was going on in their heads.”

“About three weeks after that, they left the area. Matter of fact, left the company - so folks told me. I have cause to believe otherwise, but that comes to no-never mind as well as being for the best.”

Ol’ Johnnie twirled that long neck around and around looking at pictures in his mind, I’m guessing, that hadn’t faded with time. I noticed he hadn’t made in-roads on that second bottle, either. Not much of a drinker, him. I got Terry and me another and prompted Johnnie.

“There more, Johnnie?” I asked.

And Johnnie said: “Oh, sure. There’s always more. Well, maybe some more and it will be over, maybe.”

“I know it might be confusing, all this jumping around in time business, but there are a couple of more things like that before it makes any sense.”

“Back then, after they had been gone for some weeks, I’m called to the office for a phone call and its her. Said they’d come back for a bit and wanted to see me. You can imagine, I suppose. So, anyway, I agreed.”

“Turns out that she was the one that wanted to come back. And I have to tell you that some where in there, we touched hands and . . Well, stick you finger in a live socket, yes? So, we talked some, eat some and I left and didn’t see them again until another incident happen that led me to believe they hadn’t left the company and these random sightings down through the years.”

“Then, here just a short time ago, I’m in a store and the presence made itself felt. I’m looking around and see this guy standing off in the produce section. There was a push there, but not the feeling. I move around and, sure enough, there she is, looking off over my shoulder.”

“I look at her some, and it’s a good sight, for sure. Then I think a bit and remember all the individual sighting of her alone. I look at her and then look at the “push feeling” guy, and then back at her. Well, she colors up some and looks away, then right back.”

“When she looked back, I look at the guy standing over there, back at her and start thinking of the arguments she used about this, that, and the other a long time back. I was watching her eyes, you see, and confusion comes first, then shock, then understanding, and then, for the first time ever in those eyes, I see tears. Realization got to her.”

“When I was sure of understanding, I turned away and as I was passing that guy, I asked him how he was doing and he allowed as how he was doing alright.”

Ol’ Johnnie, sighs some, pushes that beer my way, grins and says: “Now you won’t have to wait until I’m outa here.”

Gets down off that bar stool and hit’s the door.

Terry pipes up about the time Johnnie gets the door open, and says to him: “All these times you’ve talked to her, didn’t you ever tell her . . Well, you know . . . I mean, didn’t you . . “

And he drifts off silent like, just looking at Johnnie.

And Johnnie? Well, he turns back to Terry and says:

“Don’t be hearing something I didn’t say, Boy! “

“Me asking how that guy was is the first words I’ve spoken in forty-seven years to either of them.”

Ol’ Johnnie lets that door close gently behind him.

Bar Keep asks if we wanted the volume for the State Game turned up. I’d forgotten it, and was surprised it was still on.
